Baltimore Bomb Pie - My Version!

Alright, we have all seen the episode on Food Network where all the TV cooks and what not tell everyone about their favorite things to eat at places, etc. Well I just so happened to be watching one day and a said TV guy, said he really dug the pie from Dangerously Delicious Pies. Well I had a freak out moment, because 1 - the cookies are super good. 2 - Who does not love pie? and 3 - I was now living in WA and could not go and get some. So of course I opt to make my own using this recipe and a basic chess pie filling, which everyone should know how to make, it's so easy and good. There are recipes online for the pie that call for apple cider vinegar, whipping cream, etc etc.. I used what I had on hand, eggs, vanilla, sugar, and butter. Easy as that!

The whole making the cookies for the filling part is a bit time consuming, but it's very much worth it. So I suggest doing it. If not, then throw some kind of fudge cookie in and just make the chess filling and there ya have it, a delicious, easy as f pie!

Baltimore Bomb Pie - Tasha's Version

1 deep dish pie shell, frozen
7 Berger cookies, chopped
4 large eggs
1 1/2 C sugar
4 TB unsalted butter, room temp
1 TS pure vanilla
pinch of salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla and salt. Mix well. Place the chopped cookies into the pie shell.

Pour the filling mixture over the cookies.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

It should come out looking like this.

Cool completely and enjoy!
